Music

girl listening to musicMusic is one of the most popular and powerful forms of media our kids consume. It offers a potent form of expression for the complex issues young people deal with as they pass through adolescence to adulthood: identity, self-esteem, sexuality, alienation and anger.

Parents tend to pay less attention to their children's music as they become teenagers. But it's important to remain involved by knowing what your kids are listening to, and talking to them about music you find disturbing or offensive.
