TV&ME is a resource for educators and parents that addresses media issues that affect children. Wrapped around a series of "Teachable Television Moments," TV&ME provides comprehensive lesson plans which address media literacy, and healthy life coping skills, such as anger management, problem solving, self-esteem and decision-making. (Grades K-8)
The kit includes:
a video containing a series of public service announcements (PSAs) created by CCA, on a wide variety of media-related topics
lesson plans to accompany the video
skills extension activities to promote learning across the curriculum
"A Step Further" section to allow you to link the learning experiences with home and community
"Peer Teaching" opportunities to help you promote leadership and a sense of community in the classroom
certificates to recognize the contributions of the participants at the end of the program.
