This short and simple production animates a number of flip books to show how a series of sequential still images, when moved at a certain rate, can become films. Each flip book is shown twice: once as a book held within a child's hand and then flipped. The second time around, the camera focuses close-up on just the images. Accompanied by an evocative sound track, drawings turn into movies! The examples shown will be helpful in motivating children to create their own flip books. (For more detailed instructions, see Animation for Kids.)
