SchoolNet News Network (SNN) and its French counterpart Rédaction de Rescol (RDR) integrate online journalism into the classroom. Through SNN/RDR students can:
participate in a cyber-school for young writers and aspiring journalists
access tips on a multimedia publishing
publish their stories in the broadcasting forum or the SNN Student Magazine (an e-zine by Canadian students for Canadian students)
There is also a resource centre for teachers, with lesson plans and classroom activities.
SNN/RDR is open to all K-12 students in Canada and operates in both official languages. It is administered by STEM~Net, the educational network for schools in Newfoundland and Labrador, and is sponsored by Canada's SchoolNet Program.
