YOUNG CANADIANS IN A WIRED WORLD: BEHAVIOUR

Risky Online Behaviour by Age Group - Introduction

In Young Canadians in a Wired World: The Students’ View, young people were asked about their use of private and adult-only chat rooms, meeting Internet friends in person, sharing personal information and exposure to sexually-explicit and hateful material.

The “snapshots” presented here identify some of the data around risky behaviours as well as household rules about online activities. Click on the age groups that interest you in the right sidebar.

(Data collection and analysis for this survey were conducted by Environics Research Group for the Media Awareness Network. The research was funded by the Government of Canada.)
